DV2901 A Tuck, Roll and Flex - Introduction and Idea Gen

For this component I need to design and create my character for my animation for DV2901. I have decided before that I want to do my character free running, so my character has to be like a person who does free running.

Ideas for what he looks like.

1. A Robot.
2. A Cyborg
3. A Person in an armoured suit
4. A Thug 
5. A Gymnast
6. A Army man 

I had a little search online from free running characters to inspire me. I am looking at games and animations, I want my character to be of an average build not too big and not too skinny.

I haven't created this image, this is a character from a game called Brink. As you can see the character is of a slim build which makes it more realistic to him free running. I really like the design and what to have my character similar, I like the mask the best, and I want my character to have a similar mask but all black with a blue eyes.

This is a character out of the game Mirror's Edge that I mentioned in my other blog for the animation and camera shots. This is a different design then the one above it, she reminds me more of a gymnast, she doesn't look like a thug like the one above. The thing is with this character she is just normal human thats free running, which is good I wanted to create and character in a robotic suit, but even tho she's just a human its still very effective.

This three characters are from the game series called Assassin's Creed, these characters do free running. These characters are based in the past, and you play as them running across buildings and in a forest. I really like the look of the characters, they look mysterious which is what I want for my character. As these characters are based from the past eras their clothing are too, what I like and what inspires me is the hood the mysterious look about them, the others character above don't have that.

This character is what I originally wanted to base mine on but with a few differences, I wanted my character to have a full armour on not just bits and pieces. The colour scheme of this character is what I want to go for. The other thing is that I want my character to have that neon blue colour, like an electric blue. Something also similar is Tron. 

All these characters I have mention are all characters that I like and find inspiring to help with the creation of my own character. The original idea I have maybe too complicated, and thats why I have a range because I am thinking of making him more of a thug or a robot.
